Elementary School Beginning Acting Class

Middle School Classes
Youth Tap Dance Class
**This class is for current 5th-8th graders.**
No previous experience required - let’s dance!
HPAC's youth dance class will be 12 weeks, 60 minute classes.
All classes run Mondays 6-7pm in Room 203 - across the hall from the theater.
This beginner-friendly class introduces middle school students to the fundamentals of tap, including basic steps, rhythm, and technique. The class is fast-paced and engaging, while still allowing each student to progress at their own speed. Students will build coordination, timing, and confidence in a supportive, structured environment.

Tap Dance Class
**This class is for current high school students.**
No previous experience required - let’s dance!
HPAC's youth dance class will be 12 weeks, 60 minute classes.
All classes run Mondays 5-6pm in Room 203 - across the hall from the theater.
Designed for teens, this class focuses on developing strong tap fundamentals while introducing more complex steps and rhythms. Over the course of three months, students will train in a weekly “dance-call” format that mirrors the structure and flow of musical theater auditions. The environment is fast-paced and exciting, yet supportive, giving each student the space to learn and grow at their own pace. Students will build technical skills, coordination, and stage confidence.

HPAC's Improv class will be 6 weeks, 2 hour classes.

This class is perfect for adults looking for a fun, energetic way to learn tap. We focus on foundational steps, essential rhythms, and proper technique, all in a lively, fast-moving environment that still allows everyone to progress at their own pace. Over the course of three months, participants will train in a weekly “dance-call” format that mirrors the structure and flow of professional musical theater auditions. Students will gain coordination, timing, and confidence while enjoying the challenge and excitement of tap dance.

HPAC's musical theater dance class will be 8 weeks, 60 minute classes.
All classes run Sundays 6-7pm in Room 203 - across the hall from the theater.
This high energy class is for adults of all capacities and experiences who want to dance!
This class is for students who are new to dance or returning after time away. We will learn basic terminology with ballet, jazz and musical theater movement.

This high energy class focuses on stylized choreography inspired by Broadway musicals.
Students will learn 45-60 second combinations while working on character performance, technique, and musicality.
