Announcing Our 2020 Summer Enrichment Programs


The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company announces their Student Summer Intensives! The junior camp will be for students in the 2nd through 6th grades and will run from July 6th through July 10th with performances of Disney’s Moana Jr. July 10th, 11thand 12th. This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage.  The fees for the junior camp are $250.00 with a $25 registration fee.

Our Senior Camp will be for students 7th through 12th grades and will run from July 13th through July 24th with performances of Urinetown , July 24th, 25th, 26th , 31st, August 1st and 2ne. An unmistakable title from the unforgettable film and television franchise, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms. The fees for the senior camp are $350.00 with a $25 registration fee.

Please note: These camps are “Intensives” and require a strict level of dedication. We reserve the right to dismiss any student as a result of any misconduct or behavior deemed inappropriate that might compromise the integrity of the program without refund.

2020 Spring Musical abd Non-Musical Camps

The Aladdin Camp is now FULL

 

HPAC will be holding a Spring Student Program February 8th through April 19th for students 2nd through 12th grades. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon. There will be evening rehearsals April 13th through 17th with performances of Aladdin Jr. the Musical April 17th, 18th and 19th. .

NON-Musical for 7th-12th Grades

HPAC will be presenting a Non-Musical program for students in 7th through 12th grades. We will meet on Saturdays from 1:00 to 5:00 beginning February 8th and will continue through April 4th. We will work on character development, presentation, monologues, audition skills, public speaking, improv skills, as well as many other aspects of becoming an actor. We will put on a production at the close of our classes to be determined by the number of participants we have. Two productions that we are discussing are The Diary of Anne Frank or Thornton Wilder’s Our Town; one will require a larger cast and one will require a smaller cast. We will be limited to 30 participants. The cost of this program will be $250 plus a $25 registration fee. Credit cards are accepted. Classes will take place at the Hendersonville Performing Arts Company located at in the City Square Shopping Center, 260 West Main Street, Suite 203 in Hendersonville.
